Helping position LDB Group for long-term growth

LDB Group is an AFR Top 100 business advisory and accounting firm with a friendly yet welcoming culture. They focus on helping their clients across all stages of their life and business. The firm has continued to grow and evolve, gaining a unique position in their market with their ‘Working As One’ methodology. Between 2015 and 2023, Assemblo worked closely with LDB Group to position and grow their business.

After experiencing dramatic growth in their business, LDB Group’s management team wanted to update its brand and digital presence, and increase their market awareness. They approached Assemblo to develop a brand strategy and positioning to reflect their business and its offering. They also sought to redesign and modernise their brand, and roll it out across their entire business, while establishing a long-term relationship to support business growth and accessing day-to-day marketing support.

The insight

Business advisory and accounting services are often disjointed and don’t work well together

The disconnect between business advisory and accounting services often arises from their differing focuses – accountants typically handle compliance and reporting, while advisors concentrate on forward-looking strategies. This misalignment, compounded by poor communication and siloed operations, results in missed opportunities, inefficiencies, and frustration for clients who often receive fragmented support.

Without a unified approach, businesses risk strategic decisions lacking financial backing or duplicated efforts that waste resources.

The idea

Working as one

Unlike traditional firms, LDB Group integrates multiple functions by leveraging shared tools, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and offering a seamless client experience. This holistic approach not only builds stronger client relationships but also positions the firm as differentiated, full-service providers in a competitive market. Clients, in turn, benefit from aligned advice that drives growth while maintaining compliance.

This formed the core idea behind LDB Group’s rebrand, focusing on communicating the strengths of having a firm working as a single entity towards success for its clients.

A bold colour palette and bold lettering was developed to visualise the integration of departments through a Venn diagram concept. Life and personality are integral to LDB Group’s culture, and we wanted their brand to reflect this.

Further to the brand, the digital presence also needed to be updated to rise to this new promise. This meant shifting away from focusing on departments to concentrating more on solutions to suit key audience groups.

Following this rebrand, ongoing monthly activity was carried out across content creation, social media marketing, advertising and other ongoing marketing support.

The impact

The LDB rebrand and subsequent marketing activity was a huge success, helping LDB Group as they continued to grow and evolve in a highly competitive market.

In addition to rolling out the brand and online presence, Assemblo supported LDB Group between 2015 and 2023 across social media activity, content creation, writing original articles, driving SEO and running regular, always-on digital advertising campaigns.

Assemblo also provided additional marketing support, detailed reporting, and regular recommendations and insights every month to support business growth and campaigns.

Some highlights included:

  • An average of 10,000 unique monthly visitors to the LDB Group website
  • Creation of hundreds of unique, original articles across the website, social media and email newsletter
  • Hundreds of #1 organic search results on highly competitive long and short-tail accounting terms in Australia, with many beating results for the ATO
  • Strong growth and engagement across LinkedIn and Meta, with high click-through rates and engagement
